Revolution.Rocks started on a barge on the Danube in Belgrade. In 2027 it moves to Warsaw for one night of live music on Friday, June 25, on the outdoor stage at Samo Centrum, right next to the Palace of Culture. It's the sister event of Bitcoin FilmFest, which runs June 24–27 at Kinoteka, inside the Palace. Films by day, a stage full of music by night. Free entry.
"This isn't a tech conference with background music."It's a music event built on ideas worth spreading. Whether you're here for the bands, the bitcoin, or the films, you're welcome.
Samo Centrum is an outdoor bar and stage in the heart of Warsaw, right beside the Palace of Culture and Science and steps from Kinoteka, where Bitcoin FilmFest screens. It has a barbecue, a raised stage with a big screen, indoor space if the weather turns, and it takes bitcoin. The stage is open to the street, so anyone walking past can stop and listen.
Late June in Warsaw means long, warm evenings: it's the week of the longest days of the year, and the sun doesn't set until after 9 PM. The city centre is walkable, the food is great, and it's more affordable than most Western European capitals. Make a week of it with the film festival.
The name means "the very centre." It is.
Bitcoin FilmFest is a Warsaw-born festival for films, filmmakers, artists and builders who see Bitcoin as a cultural movement, not just a piece of technology. 2027 is its fifth edition: four days of screenings, panels and workshops at Kinoteka, the cinema inside the Palace of Culture, with a party every night.
Revolution.Rocks is its music night. Spend the afternoon at the cinema, then walk next door when the stage lights come on. Two events, one week, one crowd.
Most musicians make a fraction of a penny per stream. Revolution.Rocks is built around a different idea: what if fans could pay artists directly, instantly, from anywhere, with no middleman?
